Cutting Away.....

Tonight i sat down and finished cutting out all of my flannel
for my newest shaggy quilt.
Im so happy to use all the batting offcuts from around other quilts....i have ended up with a lot :) Im glad to have a way to use them all up and still end up with a nice warm quilt at the end of it.
Its a long weekend here so i hope to get stuck in and sew a lot of the 135 blocks i need :)

Rainy Sunday

I was woken by a lots of loud thunder at about 5 am this morning....
Sounded lovely !!!!
Since then we have had about 53mm of rain which is much needed here..... so everything is squishy and drenched .
Thats the view from my sewing corner and the little dam thats in the paddock behind us which is now super full.

So a rain day calls for some sewing i think... i have sewn the binding on Pennsylvania Dutch and have some Pies prepared to sew together.

I love lazy sewing days :)!!!!!!

Mr B's Quilt

Much to Mr B's delight i finished his quilt.....

It was made using a Pure Jelly roll and a white jelly roll.
Its the second time i have made this pattern and this time i decided to be a bit more adventurous with the quilting and did a crosshatch pattern.
Its great i love how it looks and how the quilting makes it feel.
