Today will be spent watching Mount Panorama on the tv and sewing the rest of Charli Mia's quilt top together ....

On a quick trip to Spotlight today I found this little cutie ....

Sewing Space

YAY I have a sewing space again .... We have moved a few things around brought a baby gate and moved my fabric , kits and WIPS into their new home 

The top photo is my precuts , block of the months and kits ( in the pink boxes ) 

The bottom photo is my WIPs and my collection of Project Life stuff which I'm going to start next year.

There is also lots more fabric that I sorted and folded and put away last night .... I really don't need to buy any more fabric or kits for a very long time .

I must say it has left me feeling really inspired and can't wait to start sewing !!!

Sunday morning

I have decided that the cleaning can wait till this afternoon ....

This is my Chelsea Charm quilt which eventually will be for my bed ... Thankyou Susan for the pattern :)))

The fabric is Metropolitan Fair and I have super sized it from 16 blocks to 49....

Really I'm Alive

Sorry for the absence in blog land for the last six months .... Studying full time has taken up all my spare time .

There has been very little sewing in this time which is a big downfall but finally last week we got to have a sewing day with my lovely sewing friends :))) 

These days really kindle my passion for crafting and I can't wait to have more time again next year to sew :))

I worked on the hand stitching for my little Xmas wall hanging in the hope that I will have it finished for Xmas this year !!!

Tillies Lane Block 1

I started a new Block of the Month this weekend ... Tillies Lane by Anni Downs .

I loved a little bit of hand stitching to make my dragonfly and a little bit of machine sewing to make my little pile of blocks .

Mystery BOM 2012

I think I starting receiving the blocks for this BOM last June !!!!
Since I only have the last couple of blocks to receive I thought I better shake a leg and start some sewing .
The fabric is "Vintage Modern " by Bonnie and Camille .

Boo !!!

Why hello there :)
Life has been is hectic around these parts the last few weeks and months.

I have gone back to study at Tafe a few days a week which has cut my sewing time dramatically .

Today marked my first sewing day with Deb and Elizabeth this year and it was lovely to sit and stitch and chat... i worked on my Down in the Garden which has been stashed away for a couple of years :)

I've got Mail

Yesterday brought me an awesome package on my doorstep .

I ordered this gorgeous fabric bundle from Green Fairy Quilts when they were having a black Friday sale .

This loveliness is Gypsy Girl by Lily Ashbury and is just divine and is earmarked for a quilt for my niece Charli Mia for a start.

Now to get through the last couple of school days and last of Christmas preparations and hopefully find some sewing time .... Fingers crossed!!!!

Bloggers day out in Bathurst

I have just came home from a lovely day out with some like minded sewing /blogging ladies and Little chicken and gorgeous baby chicken !!!

We started with a little shopping at The Home Patch and then a lovely lunch at Chai Wallah . We got to spend the afternoon stitching and chatting with coffee and desert .

It was a lovely day with some beautiful show and tell . I always leave these gatherings with so much inspiration to sew and blog more.... Thankyou ladies and thankyou Chooky for organising another great day!!!

I was also lucky enough to pick my own fat quarters for our birthday swap from Miss Chookyblue ... Thanks !!!
I chose some pretty fabrics from Marmalade range by Bonnie and Camille :)))

More birthday love !!!

Australia post decided to send the parcel Fiona - Peaceful threads sent me on a tour of the country and then back to her :)))
I received it today and it was worth the wait some beautiful Nancy Halvorsen fabric and a cute notepad .

Lucky lucky !!

Today we had a belated birthday sewing day for yours truly with Deb and Shelly
Deb brought the most scrumptious cake and I got my turn at blowing out the candles ... Yay
Also Miss Deb gave me some beautiful fat quarters so pretty !!!
I love the little birdy print which comes from the range Cherry Christmas ... Thanks again Deb x

Lovely birthday goodies

These are all the lovely fat quarters I received for my birthday from some other lovely bloggers :)))
My plan is to make some granny square blocks into a quilt and maybe a couple of cushions with the lovely bright fabric !!!
